The Women of Luke 8 Day 18
“Soon afterwards he went on through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. The twelve were with him, as well as some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, and Joanna, the wife of Herod’s steward Chuza, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for them out of their resources.”
Luke 8:1-3
Our Scripture references many other women. Just like what we discussed yesterday about Susanna, we know nothing about these other women. In the case of the “many others“ we do not even know their names. However, we know they followed and served Christ.
Sharing about a relationship with Christ can be very personal. In fact, many people who come to church for the first time, are people who have a relationship with a person who invited them to attend. Today, I want to encourage you to get personal. I want you to take a moment and think of just one person who could benefit from hearing your faith story. I encourage you to start today building a relationship with this person. When the time is right, and you sense God leading you, share your story of your relationship with Christ. You can connect someone to Christ in a very personal way making a big impact for the Kingdom of God. You ARE one of the other women. Never forget this.
