The Women of Luke 8 Day 16
“Soon afterwards he went on through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. The twelve were with him, as well as some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, and Joanna, the wife of Herod’s steward Chuza, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for them out of their resources.”
Luke 8:1-3
Today we are going to look at Susanna. Susanna is mentioned nowhere else in the Bible aside from Luke 8:1-3. We actually know nothing else about her other than her name. However, there is one thing we do know. She was important enough in carrying out the ministry of Christ that she was specifically named in our Scripture passage. Susanna was listed right there with Mary Magdalene and Joanna. When we strive to follow God’s call on our heart and join in the work of Christ, we may not become famous or even well known. However, we are significant to Christ. You are significant to Christ.
Remember today. When you feel super small. When you feel undervalued, When you feel your opinion does not matter, When You feel you will not make a difference, When you feel someone else will do it better,
You are significant!
