What brings you joy?
This is one of my FAVORITE questions to answer! What brings me joy? -Twinkling lights -A warm cozy blanket -A cup of coffee -A good book -My favorite pajamas
Yesterday was the Sunday of Advent where we celebrate joy. This has always been my favorite Sunday of the Advent season. As a child, I was fascinated with the fact that on this particular Sunday the candle on the Advent wreath broke away from the crowd with the most perfectly pink shade.
As we celebrate the joy the earth experienced at the birth of Jesus, may we remember the joy Christ has given us by working and moving in our lives each and every day. This does not mean each day is a great day. In fact, you may be at a place in your life where you have more bad days than good. However, we can still find joy in Christ
who is our Savior who covers us with the peace of His presence during the most chaotic moments who showers us with grace when we make mistakes offering us up mercy who gives us the little and large blessings each day in our lives.
This year as you find yourself in the waiting waiting for things to get back to normal waiting for healing waiting for an answer waiting for redemption
may you be the rose candle that stands out among the crowd.
May you model what it looks like to find joy in Christ in the midst of (you fill in the blank here).
Go ahead, fascinate those around you! Baffle them! Astonish them! Be a light!
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.”
Philippians 4:4
